Installation of wM 8.2 Components | Post Details - SKML Home Tuitions
Installation of wM 8.2 Components
We will show the installation demonstration of wM 8.2 components from an image file. For installation we have following available:
- wM Installer.
- wM Image file
Below are the steps to be followed for wM 8.2 installation.
à Start the SoftwareAG Installer by clicking on the SoftwareAGInstaller201106 (in this example).
à If you want to install the wM components directly from empower, then click on next and provide the empower credentials and click on next to proceed further.
à As we are going to install from image file so go to previous screen and click on the advanced option to install the wM 8.2 from an image file. A new screen will appear for advanced options, now select â Images â tab and check the box âUse installation Image â. Click on the browse button and then select the image file and then click ok and then next.
à Now, select the Installation directory path and click on next.
à Now select the wM components that you want to install and then click on next.
à Check the license agreement box and then click on next.
à Now select the license file path and provide details for DB and click on next.
à Now provide the Port number (if donât want to use default) and check the box for âCreate a Broker Server configuration â, provide license file, select âStorage size â and click on next.
à Now provide the details for Optimize and then click on next.
à Now provide license key for Infrastructure Data Collector and port details and then click on next.
à Now provide the DB details for MWS and port number (if want to use other than default) and then click on next.
à Now click next to begin actual installation.
à Finally a completion message will be displayed.
DB configuration
Below are the steps to be followed to perform DB configuration.
à Go to the directory where DBconfigurator is available âC:SoftwareAGcommondbinâ and then run the file âdbConfiguratorUIâ
à Provide DB credential and select the DB component âCrossReference â in above exampleâ and click on execute.
à Perform this activity for all required DB components as per the wM components installed. (e.g. DocumentHistory, ISCoreAudit, ISInternal, MywebMethodsServer, etc.).
à Once DB configuration is done, start the wM components.
Update Manager
Below are the steps to be followed to patch fixes using update manager.
à Go to the directory where UpdateManager is available âC:SoftwareAGUpdateManager/binâ and run âUpdateManagerGUI â. Select the action which you want e.g if you want to install a fix from image file then select âInstall fixes from image â or if you to want to install the fixes from software AG site then select âInstall fixes from software AG Empower â.
à Provide the inputs on the basis of the selected inputs and click on next.
à Now select the fix which you want to install and click on next.
à Verify the fixes to be installed and click on next.
à Select the integration server host and provide the required details as above and click on next.
à Now Click ok to continue.
à Now we are done with Fix installation using UpdateManager, check the readmes for any post installation task and follow those if any.
